DEVELOP YOUR SKILLS - PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES
At the forefront of European Schoolnet’ Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities for teachers, you will find in our Brussels premises the Future Classroom Lab which offers a fully equipped, reconfigurable, teaching and learning space developed in association with leading educational technology providers. Regular workshops, seminars and courses for teachers, experts, policy makers and ICT suppliers are organised on how existing and emerging technologies can have a transformative effect on teaching and learning processes.
European Schoolnet also offers distant opportunities such as webinars and online training to reach out to a larger number of teachers. In December 2013 we lauched the European Schoolnet Academy - Europe's first online course platform for teachers. Our ambition is to convert the content and expertise that we developed under European Schoolnet's projects and activities in massive online training opportunities for teachers.
European Schoolnet Academy - Develop your teaching practice
As primary or secondary school teacher, you can benefit from the online professional development courses that we are about to launch in the European Schoolnet Academy (www.europeanschoolnetacademy.eu) to learn about innovation in the school and classroom, and enhance your teaching practice. The two pilot courses that started in March 2014 cover two key areas of expertise of European Schoolnet and link into our project activities: Future Classroom Scenarios and STEM education. Further courses will be added throughout the year.

Run your own CPDLab course
The CPDLab project published its three courses designed for secondary schools. The courses have been developed under the Creative Commons License 3.0 – “Attribution, Share Alike”, to encourage take-up and use within existing course structures and materials used in training schools across Europe. Each of the courses consists of several modules that can be used independently and combined in different ways, enabling different learning pathways according to the need of different target groups.
Design and develop your future classroom
To accompany the adoption of the future classroom practices, the iTEC project offers a range of face-to-face and online trainings for teachers, seeking to embed the use of innovative approaches and technologies in the classroom. The project will also publish shortly guidelines for schools and teachers to rethink their ICT vision and develop advanced pedagogical approaches with the support of inspiring Learning Activities and technologies.
