image This handbook is a compilation of tasks and materials used in the online teacher training course on Open Educational Resources taught in the fall 2014 as part of the EU-funded project LangOER.

Open resources and open practices are buzzwords in education today. Never before have we had so many resources, practices and opportunities at our disposal or, rather, at our fingertips. From text to photos to sound and video, teachers have access to a variety of different types of available content, all of which can be used freely when properly attributed. Do YOU know how to find, attribute and repurpose such materials? Going open is more a philosophy than a skill. But, obviously, it takes a handful of skills to be able to apply this philosophy in the classroom. We hope that this handbook will help you to make the most of Open Educational Resources and navigate through their challenges.
