image Assessment can guide students in their learning, support their motivation to learn, and improve how teachers teach. Digital formative assessment (DFA) in particular has considerable potential to support more powerful student learning.

This report describes a range of DFA practices encountered during a study visit in Denmark, organised by European Schoolnet in conjunction with the Danish Ministry of Children and Education. The focus of this peer learning visit was to learn from examples in Denmark about strategies to implement DFA practices in schools and, more generally, to discuss lessons learnt from the country’s pioneering experience of digital assessment. The report summarises the lessons learned relevant for policy makers and educational practitioners.
