From 2015 until 2022, the School Education Gateway website helped teachers and other education stakeholders stay informed about European actions for schools.  

Presented in 23 European languages, the School Education Gateway was a single point of entry for teachers, school leaders, policy makers, experts and other professionals in the school education field.  

The main services of the platform included:

• Articles and Viewpoints: Fresh insights into Europe's policy and practice in school education through news, expert articles, video interviews, question polls, and good practices.

• Resources: Publications to stay informed, ready-to-use tutorials and teaching materials.

• European Toolkit for Schools: The toolkit to promote inclusive education and tackling early school leaving.

• Erasmus+ opportunities: Three tools were provided to support applications for the Erasmus+ Programme, including: the Course Catalogue for teachers' professional development, the Mobility Opportunities tool, and the Strategic Partnership tool to announce or search for partner schools/organisations across Europe. 

• Teacher Academy: The Teacher Academy allowed teachers to discover a wide range of training opportunities and resources for their classroom.

In autumn 2022 the services of School Education Gateway were merged to become part of the European School Education Platform.
