NBS Academy

The NBS Academy is an European hub for integrating nature-based solutions (NBS) in teacher education. Scientix and its partners aim to create an international Community of Practice (CoP) of educators, policymakers, and stakeholders to develop and test innovative ITE (Initial Teacher Education) and CPD (Continuing Professional Development) programmes on NBS.

The pilot programmes, running in six EU countries, will use blended mobility methods, including a Summer School and virtual reality training, to celebrate cultural diversity and multilingualism. The NBS Academy will evaluate the results and promote the benefits of NBS education, influencing European and national policies and enhancing teacher training quality.
