The Space Awareness project has opened for registration to a new Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), titled "Our Wonderful Universe". This is the third online course produced within the Awareness project, funded by the EU's Horizon 2020 programme.

European Schoolnet is proud to announce that we are celebrating our 20th anniversary this year! Having begun as a network of 18 Ministries of Education in 1997, we currently have 31 members, all united in our mission to transform education in Europe.

In 2017 we are celebrating the 30th anniversary of Erasmus! What started as a student mobility programme in 1987 has grown into something bigger and enriched the lives of more than 9 million direct participants, not to mention the indirect impact it has had on so many others. That is why in 2014 several programmes were combined into one: Erasmus+.

On Tuesday 7 February 2017, we celebrated the 14th edition of Safer Internet Day (SID). With a theme of "Be the change: Unite for a better internet", the day called upon all stakeholders to join together to make the internet a safer and better place for all, and especially for children and young people.

An international panel of leading experts of education policies awards the Scientix project for being a prime example of a fuel that can bring about positive change in teaching and learning on a global scale.

Taking place on Tuesday, 7 February 2017 with a theme of 'Be the change: Unite for a better internet', the campaign calls upon all stakeholders to join together to make the internet a safer and better place for all, and especially children and young people.

European Schoolnet and DIGITALEUROPE launched on 6 December the fifth and final edition of the e-Skills Manifesto as part of the eSkills for Jobs 2016 campaign.

On 26-27 September the Open Education: Promoting Diversity for European Languages LangOER conference of the LangOER project organized by European Schoolnet and Educational Repositories Network - EdReNe, took place successfully in Brussels.
