6 February 2018 is a big day for internet users worldwide! Organised by the joint Insafe-INHOPE network, with the support of the European Commission, we would like to invite you to help us spread the word about the 15th consecutive edition of the landmark Safer Internet Day (SID) campaign.

On Tuesday 7 February 2017, we celebrated the 14th edition of Safer Internet Day (SID). With a theme of "Be the change: Unite for a better internet", the day called upon all stakeholders to join together to make the internet a safer and better place for all, and especially for children and young people.

European Schoolnet and DIGITALEUROPE launched on 6 December the fifth and final edition of the e-Skills Manifesto as part of the eSkills for Jobs 2016 campaign.

Press release: Brussels, 7 October 2015: Well over 100 young people aged 9-17 years and 35 mentors from 15 different countries worldwide participated in the ENABLE Hackathon, launched in June 2015, to reflect on the causes and process of bullying and use their creative and coding skills to propose solutions.

For many young people in the early 21st century, their online personality, social interactions and activities are as important as their life in the physical world. Teachers, therefore, need to recognize this and help young people make the most of the opportunities online technologies and social media offer to develop key competences – and, crucially, become reflective and responsible citizens.
