Launch of the Grand Coalition for digital jobs
18/04/2013
European Schoolnet supports the Grand Coalition for digital jobs, a multi-stakeholder partnership launched by the Commission, to tackle the lack of ICT skills and the several hundred of thousands of unfilled ICT-related vacancies.
The conference Filling the Gaps: e-Skills and education for digital jobs, on 4-5 March 2013, Brussels, addressed e-skills shortages in Europe. The aim of the conference was to launch the Grand Coalition for Digital Jobs including commitment of actions, pledges from stakeholders, shared roadmap and implementation plan.
European Schoolnet supported the pledge through the Future Classroom Lab and announced the plan to train teachers in STEM and educational technologies to help students get digital jobs.
