Visit Doñana National Park in Spain with Global excursion

The Global excursion project invites students and teachers to virtual tour through Doñana National Park in Spain on 7 May, at 10:00 – 11:00 CEST. During the tour, scientists from the Doñana Biological Station will take participants through the different areas of the park and explain its environmental and conservation value. Register now!

Doñana National Park is a natural reserve in Andalusia, southern Spain. It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a Biosphere reserve. The Doñana Biological Station oversees the park and carries out research in biodiversity and conversation biology. The station operates a series of sensors and webcams to monitor natural processes and endangered species in Doñana area. More information:

Global excursion is an FP7 project, providing students and teachers in secondary schools online access to experimental laboratories and e-science application run by research institutes around the world. The project’s Virtual Science Hub – ViSH ( contains a selection of e-infrastructures, a collaboration platform for teachers and scientists, and a virtual excursion room, where students can experience real e-science applications.
