Join the Scientix team and work as Scientix Ambassador in your country

Scientix is looking for science and maths teachers across Europe to support Scientix 2 in 2013-2014 as part of the Scientix 2 Teacher Panel. Members of the Teacher Panel will be working either as Ambassadors or Deputy Ambassadors of Scientix in their respective countries.

The main tasks of the Teacher Panel include promoting Scientix at national level and in national teacher communities, supporting the Scientix National Contact Points or pedagogical quality control.

Requirements

Ideal candidates have direct experience in STEM teaching (past or present), knowledge of English, interest in innovations in science teaching, and are computer literate. Candidates for Scientix Ambassadors should also have previous experience in European collaboration in STEM education (e.g. participating in EU projects) and in disseminating good practice in science education.

The Teacher Panel will consist of 30 Ambassadors and 60 Deputy Ambassadors.

About Scientix

Scientix promotes and supports Europe-wide collaboration among science and maths teachers, researchers, policymakers and other professionals in STEM education. The project is now entering its second phase, which will see - among others - the launch of Scientix networking events, expanded Teacher Panel, and the network of Scientix National Contact Points (NCPs).

An important part of the project is be the 2nd Scientix Conference to take place in October 2014. With the expected participation of around 500 teachers, policymakers, researchers and project managers, it will be one of the major networking events in STEM education in Europe.

Scientix 2 is managed by European Schoolnet under the EU’s 7th Framework Programme.
