Global excursion presents a new release of its repository of e-science resources for schools - the Virtual Science Hub (ViSH, http://vishub.org). Explore the materials in ViSH and take your students to virtual excursions around Europe's research facilities.

The Virtual Science Hub is a meeting point for scientists and teachers, based around the idea of “Virtual Excursions”, an online alternative to an on-site visit to research institutes and laboratories. It contains a range of activities, materials and tools to intergrate Science e-Infrastructures  into school curricula, including videostreams, virtual or remote control experiments.

The new release improves the user interface and makes the content even more easily accessible. Teachers can also now create excursions using external sites, such as YouTube, Flickr or EUN's Learning Resource Exchange for schools.

GLOBAL excursion (Extended Curriculum for Science Infrastructure Online) is a FP7 project, introducing e-Infrastructures to educators and their students. The driving themes are nano- and bio-technologies, volunteer computing and life sciences. It is coordinated by the Centre For Social Innovation (ZSI) in Vienna, Austria; the partners are European research organisations and European Schoolnet.
