Meet the eTwinning Prize winners!

Every year the eTwinning community recognises and awards the best projects as part of the annual European eTwinning Prize Competition. This year the eTwinning members celebrated the outstanding work of educators and pupils with six eTwinning Prize Winners Events.

Six simultaneous events took place at the winning schools, on 24 May and 1 June 2016. Members of the eTwinning Central and National Support Services travelled to six countries in order to meet and celebrate with teachers and pupils of the winning projects of the three age categories. The events gathered local authorities, press, school representatives and pupils, while partner countries connected by video conference and shared their common experience.

In Cyprus and Spain, partners of the winning project of the 4-11 age category,‘Looking for Beau and Delfi’, celebrated with traditional folk dances, local treats and they even did swimming! Ukraine, which is one of the winners of the 12-15 age category for the project ‘Is this castle haunted?’, staged an impressive feast showcasing local traditions, music, singing and dance performances. Pupils from France, Italy and Poland, winners of the 16-19 age category for the project ‘Mirror, Mirror...’ , shared their experiences and presented their work in a festive atmosphere.

We were happy to release the project videos for all three winner projects which showcase the common efforts of pupils and the collaboration of teachers from different countries.
