Calling all creative digital talents to enter the eSkills 2016 Competitions

After a very successful campaign in 2015, eSkills for Jobs is gearing up for the 2016 European Competitions edition. We are proud to announce the three categories for 2016: Young digital talent, Outstanding digital skills developer, and Innovative App developer.

If you are a young person aged between 16 - 30 years old who are interested in coding and video game development, then the Young digital talent category is the one for you! This is your opportunity to showcase your creativity and coding skills! To enter the competition, you need to produce a video game using Scratch. To get you started we have prepared Scratch tutorials for you – take a look and start coding!

Teachers enrolled in the 2nd round of the MOOC course Developing Digital Skills in your Classroom of European Schoolnet Academy can join the Outstanding digital skills developer! You only need to produce a 3min (max) video presenting a lesson or activity that focuses on developing the digital skills of your students. In order to submit the video, teachers have to have successfully completed the course. If you believe you can demonstrate an innovative use of ICT for teaching, don’t miss this opportunity!

The Innovative App developer gives you the unique chance to win a 12.5K scholarship for Swift bootcamp with the App Academy in Amsterdam. This category is intended for young people aged between 18 - 35 years old who are interested in coding and mobile app development. To participate you need to demonstrate a basic understanding of coding and have a creative idea for a mobile app.

The prizes for the Young digital talent and Outstanding digital skills developer will be announced soon!

Deadline for all categories submissions is 31 July 2016.
