Take the School Education Gateway Poll on critical thinking and media

Developing critical thinking skills is fundamental to all learning and it is a key competence all citizens need in order to succeed in lifelong learning throughout their personal and professional lives.

In today’s media-rich environment, we need to develop a wider set of skills to help us understand the messages around us and effectively utilize these tools to design and distribute our own messages. Therefore, teaching about and through media is one effective way of developing students’ critical thinking skills.

The School Education Gateway is interested in knowing what the education community think about why and how we should teach students critical thinking about and through media. We have created a poll so you can share your attitudes and opinions concerning the development of students’ critical thinking skills about and through media. The poll will be open until 11 April and is available in 23 languages.
