Teaching students not only knowledge but also support the development of their key competences is seen as vital for their success in today's society and employment market. Still, the assessment of these competences is a challenge.

The new TASK project (Teacher Assessing Key Competences in School), which brings together European Schoolnet and education partners from France, Italy, Spain and Turkey, will develop a tool for students to self-assess their key competences. The new tool will be based on the already existing successful Vintage tool for adults which relies on an authentic, self-reflective and proactive methodology. The new tool will be tested in each of the participating countries with at least 20 teachers. TASK project started in September 2015 and will be carried out for two years.
