Teachers can participate with their classrooms and submit their entries until 23 November 2018. The competition addresses students between 12 to 18 years old and all the teams participating are invited to create a project that evolves around two main categories: creativity and problem solving.
For the first category, students are invited to unleash their imagination and design their own stories, games and animations. For the second category, students are invited to address a problem that affects their school or community. In both categories, students will be able to develop their creativity and imagination by using their own pictures as background in the game, creating their own dialogues using the colorful blocks to give commands and everything they may think about.
Why should you get involved?
While many teachers want to bring innovation in their classrooms, they often think that coding is difficult or that it requires a good understanding of Mathematics or digital skills. Scratch is the best way to introduce coding to students, as it is an easy visual programming language that motivates students to learn coding while they collaborate and have fun.
If you would like to participate with your students, read carefully the guidelines, and fill in the registration form. A national and European jury will evaluate all the projects received, and the winners will be announced on 7 December at the Future Classroom Lab in Brussels.
