From fostering policy learning and advancing digital skills, to promoting digital well-being, strengthening STEM education, and empowering schools and teachers, our work continues to support positive change and innovation across Europe's education landscape.

Through this report, we invite the wider education community to discover how European Schoolnet is leading the transformation of education for a better future. Throughout 2025, we continued building networks and offering practical, evidence-based resources to Ministries of Education, teachers, schools, researchers, students, professional development providers, and EdTech partners across Europe.

Highlights from European Schoolnet's Initiatives in 2025

In 2025, our core activities focused on five key priorities:

• Shaping education policy across Europe: Through publications, podcasts, and events, European Schoolnet continued to support Ministries of Education by providing evidence-based research, policy learning, and cross-country exchange to help inform decision-making and policy development.
• Advancing digital well-being and online safety: We continued to promote safer digital environments for children and young people by supporting the implementation of two new Erasmus+ funded projects—digi.well and PERMA-Digital—in addition to other key European Commission initiatives such as Better Internet for Kids.
• Fostering digital skills and competences: We made meaningful progress in supporting educators and learners with training, resources, and guidance to help build digital confidence and equip workers for the future, particularly through our support of the European Commission's Digital Skills and Jobs Platform (DSJP).
• Strengthening STEM education: Through Scientix®, we engaged over 100,000 teachers and 600,000 students from 50+ countries in the 2025 STEM discovery campaign and supported more than 540 schools in achieving the Competent STEM School Label, sparking more students' passion for STEM.
• Empowering schools and teachers: We continued to expand professional development opportunities for schools and teachers through the European Schoolnet Academy and Future Classroom Lab ecosystem, supporting educators with innovative pedagogies, peer learning, and practical classroom resources.
