The third edition of the STEM Discovery Week will be celebrated 23 to 29 April 2018. Building on the success achieved already in 2016 and 2017, the STEM Discovery Week aims to facilitate more than 500 activities, reaching more than 10,000 schools in 30 countries! Projects, organisations and schools can now request to become partners of the campaign.

Europeana DSI3 is looking for 60 teachers interested in accessing and evaluating first the Europeana scenarios, learning activities and professional development resources.

Today, more than 140 countries worldwide, including all 28 countries of the European Union, along with many organisational supporters, are celebrating Safer Internet Day (SID) for the fifteenth consecutive year.

Research confirms that collaborative learning has a positive impact on students' academic achievement as well as on the development of social competences. We know however, that collaborative teaching and learning are not yet commonplace in schools across Europe.

European Schoolnet is looking for teachers to form the pilot teacher teams from each of the following 10 countries: Germany, Austria, Spain, Sweden, Poland, Italy, Belgium, Portugal, Israel, Croatia and join the BLOOM project. Each pilot teacher team will consist of a teacher coordinator and a support teacher.

On Friday 15 December, two representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MEST) in Kosovo (Mr. Valmir Gashi and Ms. Hanemsha Latifi) visited European Schoolnet for the first time. After various exchanges during 2017, we are delighted to announce that we close the year with MEST, Kosovo joining European Schoolnet in an observer capacity, with the hope to become a full member in the near future.

High-level representatives from businesses and the education sector gathered today to discuss how to advance and scale up business-education cooperation to improve Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) studies and careers in Europe.


2017 has been a special year for European Schoolnet, as we have celebrated 20 years of transforming education, together with all our members and stakeholders across Europe and beyond. Having begun as a network of 18 Ministries of Education in 1997, we currently have 31 members, all united in our mission to test promising innovative practices, share evidence about their impact, and support mainstreaming effective teaching and learning practices for all students.
