When does AI make sense in schools?

In 2025, European Schoolnet hosts its annual conference, EMINENT, in Madrid, on 11-12 December 2025 in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports of Spain, and with the support of the EU funded project Agile EDU.

EMINENT will convene policymakers from Ministries of education, national and regional authorities, as well as schools and key researchers involved in the transformation of education across Europe to discuss why, when and how artificial intelligence (AI) should be used in education in a responsible and purposeful manner.  Speakers will address the following questions: 

  • ○ Why and which factors should be considered by school leaders and governments?
  • ○ How to use generative AI responsibly in the classroom
  • ○ When the use of AI generated data from students make sense?
  • ○ Which strategies European governments are implementing?
  • ○ What is needed to empower teachers in the AI era?
  • ○ Which examples of AI in the classroom are impacting positively students, teachers and schools?.

The event will offer relevant insights and evidence from key experts on Artificial intelligence in education, as well as a great opportunities for collaboration, including several parallel sessions and a networking dinner in an emblematic location in the Spanish capital.
