Silvia Semenzin
Postdoctoral researcher and international activist - University Complutense of Madrid
Silvia is a postdoctoral research fellow in Digital Sociology at Complutense University of Madrid. Her research focuses on technology-facilitated gender-based violence, online misogyny and digital rights, with a particular emphasis on encrypted and decentralised technologies and platform affordances. In 2021, she co-authored the book 'Donne Tutte Puttane: Revenge Porn e Maschilità Egemone' (Durango Edizioni) with Lucia Bainotti. Additionally, she is recognised as an international activist after promoting in 2018 the Italian law to criminalise the non-consensual dissemination of intimate images.
