EPISODE 17 - Formal recognition of teacher learning
In this episode of the European Schoolnet Podcast, we discuss how teacher professional development is evolving across Europe and why recognition systems are struggling to keep pace with the ways teachers learn today.
Through examples from different national contexts, the conversation explores how accreditation systems approach online learning; international professional development activities; MOOCs; and practice-based learning, while also reflecting on some of the tensions surrounding quality assurance and career progression.
Developed as a complementary resource to the ContinueUP report on "the formal recognition of teacher learning", the episode expands on some of the reflections emerging from the research and invites listeners to continue the discussion through the report.
