Anne Mangen

 

Anne Mangen

Professor of literacy at the Norwegian Reading Center, University of Stavanger, Norway.

Anne Mangen is professor of literacy at The Norwegian Reading Centre, University of Stavanger, Norway. Her research interests include the role of medium materiality for reading comprehension and engagement, and she is doing interdisciplinary, empirical research comparing the reading of literary and expository texts on laptops, tablets, e-readers and on paper. Mangen was Chair for the European research network (COST Action) E-READ: Evolution of Reading in the Age of Digitisation (2014-2018), an interdisciplinary network involving about 200 researchers from 33 countries, focusing on empirical research on reading and digitization.

Niamh Ni Bhroin
 

 

Niamh Ni Bhroin

Associate Professor at the Department of Nordic and Media Stduies, University of Adger, Norway 

Niamh Ni Bhroin is an Associate Professor at the Department of Nordic and Media Studies, University of Agder, Norway. Ni Bhroin researches how the digitalisation of society affects the everyday lives of children and young people. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the newly established Centre for research on Children, Youth and Media at UiO and a member of the EU Kids Online network in Norway. Ni Bhroin is also an expert member of the Screen Use Committee, recently established by the Norwegian government to provide advice on children and young people's screen use. She is also a founding member of the Center for Media Innovations at the University of Oslo. Ni Bhroin participates in national and international projects that investigate children and young people's media use, and publishes and disseminates research on "screen time", media harm, the digitalisation of education and sharenting. She have a PhD in media studies from the Department of Media and Communication at the University of Oslo (2015).
