Ten years have passed since the eTwinning action was first launched, and this report marks the occasion by taking stock of the programme’s key achievements and areas in need of further development, through an analysis of a large-scale survey of eTwinning teachers launched at the end of 2014.

The iTEC project developed a process that allows schools to rethink how they are currently using ICT, and which provides concrete guidance and tools to help them close what is being called the “mainstreaming gap”, where technology is not yet fully harnessed as a systemic part of everyday classroom practice that integrates learning both in and out of school.

The School IT Administrator report is the first European report to analyse the role, duties and training needs of IT Administrators in schools. Authored by European Schoolnet and its ministries of education, with the support of Cisco Systems, this report is intended to raise awareness of the challenges and needs of this community of school IT Administrators, and to initiate a dialogue amongst public and private sector organizations to find solutions.
