European Schoolnet Academy

European Schoolnet Academy launches as online courses platform delivering innovative learning solutions and online professional development for teachers

The European Schoolnet Academy is Europe's first online course platform for primary and secondary teachers: www.EuropeanSchoolnetAcademy.eu. On this learning hub European Schoolnet offers free online courses lasting 6-8 weeks for teachers' professional development.

As a primary or secondary teacher you will:
  • Learn about innovation in the classroom and school
  • Develop and enhance your teaching practice
  • Get experts’ feedback and share your experiences with them
  • Connect with like-minded peers across Europe
  • Reflect and discuss the role of technology in education
  • Feel empowered and inspired to try out something new in your practice
After the two successful rounds of the pilot coursesFuture Classroom Scenarios and Innovative STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics)  Education, three courses are now open for registration and further courses will be added in 2015.

Join the new, exciting courses:
Games in Schools: MOOC for teachers exploring the potential of games-based learning in schools. The course will examine the opportunities but also challenges offered by integrating games into our teaching and learning and will provide practical examples of gaming tools and activities to use in your daily teaching practice.

Competences for 21st Century Schools: This course is intended for teachers and other educational professionals interested in competence-based education. It will provide you with a thorough introduction to the issues and challenges related to making competence-based education a reality in the classroom and assessing it, as well as concrete tips on how to implement project-based learning.

How to Teach Computing: An Introduction to Concepts, Tools and Resources for Secondary Teachers: No matter what subject you teach, computing is increasingly relevant in all areas of life so we need to know how to integrate it into our teaching. The course will introduce key computing concepts, resources and tools relevant to teaching at secondary level across subjects. The course will have a very practical focus, exploring specific activities to run in the classroom.

We rely on your participation and feedback to make European Schoolnet Academy a success. So use this opportunity, learn and share innovative ideas with your peers around the world and let us know what you think.

We look forward to seeing you on one of the courses! Happy learning!
