Governing bodies
European Schoolnet is governed by the Steering Committee, representing all its network of Ministries of education across Europe.
- The Steering Committee: the responsibility of this body is to define the political priorities of the network and adopt the work programme and the annual budget of the organisation. The Steering Committee nominates Vice Chairs to the Board of Directors.
- The Board of directors is managing the administrative and financial operations.
Since 26 May 2025 and for a 4 year mandate, the following members have been elected, as follows:
- Jan De Craemer, Flemish Ministry of Education and Training (Belgium), Chair of European Schoolnet and member of the Board of Directors.
Jan De Craemer is a staff member of the Knowledge Centre for Digital Education Digisprong (Flemish Ministry of Education & Training) where he is responsible for co-ordinating the ICT and digital media policies. Besides his role in the ICT & digital media policy development, he has been responsible for ICT initiatives in many different areas such as ICT-infrastructure, curriculum reform, in-service training, e-safety, digital learning resources, and ICT for special needs. He represents Flanders to the European Commission ET2020 Working Group on Digital Education (DELTA). He is also the Chairman of the European Schoolnet Steering Committee and member of the Board of Directors of European Schoolnet.
- Elisabetta Mughini, INDIRE (Italy), Vice-Chair of European Schoolnet and member of the Board of Directors.
- Tomasz Kulasa, Ministry of Education and Science (Poland), Vice-Chair of European Schoolnet and member of the Board of Directors.
- Maria Joao Horta, Directorate-General for Education (Portugal), Vice-Chair of European Schoolnet and member of the Board of Directors.
- Isabelle DufrĂȘne, Ministry of National Education and Youth (France), member of the Board of Directors.
- Richard Walls, Swedish National Agency for Education (Sweden), member of the Board of Directors.
